Anniesa Hasibuan autumn/winter 2017 collection catwalk show for NYFW
Glamorous and unique, the Anniesa Hasibuan autumn/winter 2017 collection continues the house’s tradition of modest fashion designed for Muslim women, or anyone who admires presenting beauty without being too revealing.
The Indonesian designer continues to pair each outfit with a headscarf, presenting us a pride in her religion. Foiling, pleats, jacquard and sequins were mixed and matched. The classic, dynamic and modern collection also features winter gloves designed by Swarovski, featuring pearls and beads. Warm, bold colours were used, including shades of bronze, silver, gold and broken white. These colours present women as pure, strong, confident, and gracious.
Pearls and beads embellish not only the collars, but also sleeves and all over one white opened dress. A second layer is worn under for modesty while at the same time, golden embellishments present luxuriousness.
The collection left many with the impression that beauty can be achieved when wearing non-revealing dresses.
