Farmageddon, the second Shaun the Sheep feature film from Academy Award-winning studio Aardman Animations, coincides with the 50th anniversary of the first lunar landing. Taking the farmyard animals on an intergalactic journey, the movie sees Shaun and his Mossy Bottom flock welcome an unexpected guest from outer space called LU-LA (Amalia Vitale) and race against the clock to return this adorable alien back to her lost spaceship before the alien-hunting agency track her down.

We caught up with the various voice actors, the teams behind the production and music, and some rather eager audience members who couldn’t wait for this new Shaun the Sheep adventure.

Voice actor Justin Fletcher, who plays Shaun himself, tells us how his previous work helped him get into character and why slapstick humour is so appealing to young and old.

Directors Will Becher and Richard Phelan discuss the importance of glitter and hand me my own Shaun the Sheep badge to wear!

We speak to Aardman’s co-founder David Sproxton about the feature’s initial inspiration and how lengthy the production process was.

Kate Harbour, who plays Timmy’s mum, explores the possibility of a sequel to Farmageddon and how excited she was to be involved in the Aardman project.

Composer Tom Howe tells us how he found the process of creating the score for the picture.

We hear some of the wonderful farm voices from actor John Sparkes as he talks us through the recording process.

Actor Joe Sugg plays the part of the pizza boy, and we hear how much of a fan of the series he was beforehand and how excited he was to play this role.

Astronaut Tim Peake tells us about his exciting future space projects as we discuss the appeal of bringing a sci-fi element into children’s animation.

Croydon rapper Nadia Rose speaks to us about her contribution to the music.

Producer Nick Park talks us through the inspiration for the film and the message it delivers.
