Top five James Bond scenes
Bond. James Bond. This is probably the most famous introductions in history. The line used by the charming and charismatic agent of the British MI6, who seduces women, visits luxury casinos, drives fast cars and saves the world, is legendary.
But truth to be told, everything regarding James Bond is fantastic. The movies, the songs, special effects, plots, twists, and of course, the actors who were constantly adding something new to Bond’s legacy.
From Sean Connery to Daniel Craig, all Bond movies had exceptional roles, and each one stayed in our memory with some specific scene, separating it from all others. Over time, there were numerous debates on which scene is the best; which one left the biggest impression on the viewers. We’ve come up with five of them according to our taste. Take some of your time out to see the ones we’ve put together after painstakingly omitting some incredibly memorable moments in favour of these top five James Bond scenes:
The parachute scene from the Moonraker
We are more than positive that at the time of making this particular scene, it was a worldwide shocker. Jaws and Bond fighting for the parachute and their lives high above in the sky, with a fantastic view around themselves is something memorable.
Two guys were flying several kilometres above the ground, falling down with a speed of tens of meters in one second, and making one heck of an impression on the people who watched the movie.
P.S. We use this chance to mention and praise all the brave cameramen who filmed this.
Death of Vesper
This is one of few in which we encountered James Bond visibly shaken and disturbed over a woman. Daniel Craig’s appearance in Casino Royal brought a totally different concept for Bond’s character, where we see the agent as an ordinary human being, pressured with various issues and problems, and overwhelmed with all sorts of vices.
But in the scene where he tries to reanimate Vesper, we finally realise that Bond too, has a soft heart, and Craig’s acting here threw a completely different light on Bond’s character. His look, the feeling of helplessness and unconditional sorrow is too powerful for anyone to stay calm.
Coming back to Skyfall
The scene when Bond and M head for Scotland and stops to rest before reaching his home, the Skyfall castle, is among the epic ones. There are just a few words in it, when the two chat about Bond’s past, but after that the music which follows a picture of a car gliding through the rough landscape of Scotland is astonishing.
It is a marvellous combination of tones and scenes which gives you chills, and although nothing is said, you can sense all the demons which haunted Bond throughout his life and what it’s like for him to face them again.
Ursula Andress’ Famous Beach Scene
No doubt that the scene with the beautiful Swedish actress entered the history of cinematography. At the time of its making it was sensational and something provocative which hasn’t been seen before. It would be reproduced several decades later with Halle Berry in the same role. However, the original scene is legendary.
The beauty and charisma Honey Rider displays while getting out of water won’t be seen ever again. This scene has been considered to be one of the sexiest ever, although it is far less explicit than the ones in the movies today.
Bond. James Bond.
We will close the list the way we’ve started this article. Sean Connery and his introduction to Sylvia Trench are simply the most recognised and the best scene in all of the Bond movies, and something which repeats in each sequel in its own way.
Here the world saw Bond for the first time and immediately realised what is he all about. Every Bond film is not without its casino scenes setting and this scene with a beautiful woman across the baccarat table describes our hero perfectly. His casual cigarette lighting while introducing himself, and the music theme in behind are just way too fantastic to put them anywhere else but position #1. It may be a cliché, but it is a good one.
