New Legends of Monkey Season Two: Chai Hansen and Josh Thomson give us the scoop

The second season of Emmy-award winning The New Legends of Monkey is set to hit Netflix from 7th August.

The live-action family Australian-New Zealander series is loosely inspired by 16th Century Chinese novel Journey to the West and the 1970s Japanese adaptation Monkey. Following teenage girl hero, Tripitaka, and a trio of fallen gods, Monkey, Sandy and Pigsy, the fantasy world brings together ideas of East and West, and aims to bring something for adults and kids alike with adventure as well as an irreverent edge of humour.

We sat down with the show’s lead cast, Chai Hansen and Josh Thomson, who told us what fans can expect from the new season and the fun they had making it.
