London Fashion Week goes digital for spring/summer 2021

London Fashion Week is one of the most highly anticipated events in the fashion calendar. Presenting over 250 designers and staging multiple events throughout the city, it is a momentous affair for editors, buyers and influencers alike.

However, due to the current pandemic, 2020 has seen significant changes. While June’s fashion week was held entirely online, this season will offer a mixture of physical and digital presentations.

The British Fashion Council has confirmed the event will run from 17-22 September, and is inviting both men’s and womenswear designers to take part in its gender-neutral showcase.

Unsurprisingly, few have committed solely to a physical catwalk, but designers such as Victoria Beckham, Christopher Kane and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi will feature both digital activations and physical shows.

The schedule kicks off with a live stream of Burberry’s SS21 collection, followed by engaging digital presentations from Temperley London, Rixo and Vivienne Westwood.

The BFC website will also be hosing exclusive multimedia content, allowing viewers to tune in from the comfort of their own home.
