Father’s Day meals that will delight your dad
While sending a gift on Father’s Day is a lovely gesture, this seems a great year to take the time to meet up in person and treat your dad to dinner in one of London’s many wonderful restaurants. A meal provides the perfect occasion to catch up after the months of social distancing – and there’s the added bonus that you get to enjoy great food and even support the reopening hospitality industry. Here are a few of our suggestions for spoiling your dad with stylish comfort food on 20th June.
Contemporary Indian at Kahani
Contemporary Indian restaurant Kahani in Kensington has put together a Father’s Day menu not to be missed (priced at three courses for just £50pp). Chef Peter Joseph has made sure to include some of their favourites, including the much-loved Tandoori Tiger Prawns with Chilli, Coconut and Curry Leaves, Hyderabad Lamb Biryani and Chocolate Delice with Pistachio Sponge to finish. Italian pasta plates at Como Garden
New Italian tapas restaurant Como Garden is ideal for celebrating special occasions – and if you take your Dad this Father’s Day, everyone on the table gets a complimentary glass of champagne. Not only that, but the restaurant will be serving a special dish for the day – yet to be revealed. Inspired by Lake Como in Italy, the interiors are lush with greenery, and even a giant olive tree. Bag a spot under it for the ultimate dining experience. Book a table here.
Latin American tapas at Zuaya
Much like its cool new sibling Como Garden, Zuaya will also be treating the table to a complimentary glass of fizz and have a special dish available to order on the day. Zuaya has an atmosphere like no other – vibey music, dark and mysterious interiors and wow factor to seduce the senses. The menu is Latin American, featuring everything from tacos to empanadas, and made to share. Book a table here.
Wine Dinners at Trinity Upstairs
If your dad enjoys a nice glass with his meal, why not up the ante and treat him to a Wine Dinner? The evenings are taking place on Mondays from June to November, and see Michelin-starred chef Adam Byatt joined by GQ Sommlier of the Year Sara Rossi for the ultimate night of indulgence. Each event shows off amazing produce, carefully paired with a different wine. The menu is £195pp inclusive of food, wine, water, coffee and service. Book a table here.
The Garden Pavilion at Chiswick House
Does your dad deserve spoiling? Lord Burlington’s 18th-century villa in Chiswick has just opened a new family-friendly pop-up restaurant housed in a stylish and floral-adorned marquee, nestled in the natural surroundings of the 65 acres of Grade I-listed Chiswick House and Gardens. Championing a farm to fork ethos and showcasing high quality, fresh and seasonal produce from Chiswick House’s own Kitchen Garden, the menu features modern re-interpretations of classics and well-loved dishes of yesteryear.
