Vintry and Mercer reopens rooftop terrace with Château Minuty partnership, bringing Provençal rosé to London
Boutique hotel Vintry and Mercer, in City of London, has reopened its rooftop terrace for the spring and summer season – this year in collaboration with French winery Château Minuty. Known as the Mercer Minuty Terrace, the venue begins welcoming guests today, offering Riviera-influenced dining with views across the London skyline. The partnership aims to combine Provençal wines with a seasonal British menu, perfect for the warmer months.
Located on the upper level of the hotel, the terrace provides views stretching from St Paul’s Cathedral to The Shard, and operates as an al fresco dining space. The collaboration with Château Minuty introduces a selection of the winery’s cuvées to the rooftop’s drinks list, including their Cuvée Prestige rosé that’s produced in the Côtes de Provence region of southern France.
The food menu has been designed around seasonal British produce. Dishes on offer include Roasted Chalk Stream Trout served with English asparagus and wild garlic, Salt Marsh Spring Lamb Rump and a range of desserts featuring rhubarb. The menu has been described by the hotel as reflecting a lighter, seasonal approach intended to complement the rosé-led wine list and the outdoor setting.
Château Minuty, founded in 1936 and based in Gassin near Saint-Tropez, is one of 18 estates classified as a Cru Classé in Provence. Its rosé wines are widely associated with the region’s summer hospitality scene, and the brand has expanded its presence in the UK in recent years through partnerships with hotels, restaurants and members’ clubs.
The Mercer Minuty Terrace is open to both hotel guests and the public, with bookings available for lunch, dinner and drinks throughout the spring and summer season.
