Exclusive new clip: Here We Are starring Noam Imber and Shai Avivi

We have an exclusive clip from the award-winning Here We Are, which will be released in UK cinemas on Friday 23rd July.

Taking inspiration from writer Dana Idisis’s own family, the film is a touching story of a father and his relationship with his grown-up autistic son, played by Shai Avivi and Noam Imber. Aharon (Avivi) has devoted his life to raising his son Uri (Imber), and they live together in a gentle routine away from the real world. The latter is autistic and now, as a young adult, it might be time for him to live in a specialised home. Aharon feels deep down that his son is not ready for this separation, so on the way to the residence, he decides to run away with Uri and they hit the road. The journey upon which they embark has unexpected consequences on the pair’s quiet life together.

The film was part of the Cannes Film Festival 2020 in Official Selection and was nominated for 10 Ophir Awards in Israel, winning in the categories of Best Director, Best Actor (Shai Avivi), Best Supporting Actor (Noam Imber) and Best Screenplay.

Studio Soho Distribution is fast developing a strong reputation for releasing films with important social messages, often based on real life stories, helping them to receive the attention they deserve. In 2020 they released Come as You Are, a true story about three young men with disabilities who hit the road on a quest to lose their virginity, and immigration drama Undocument.
