We’ve listed some of our favourite outdoor installations, from rooftop bars to themed terraces and al fresco music performances.
Ampéli Greek Terrace in Fitzrovia
This summer, Eastern Mediterranean restaurant Ampéli has teamed up with Greek amber spirit Metaxa to launch a Summer Spritz Terrace. Whilst we can’t all fly out to the Greek isles, the terrace, inspired by both Metaxa and Ampéli’s Grecian heritage, will offer Londoners the next best thing, bringing the Aegean flavours and aromas from Greece to the heart of Fitzrovia. Running from July throughout the summer months, guests visiting the Charlotte Street terrace can enjoy a mini Mediterranean-style getaway, seated on the wooden terrace decorated with fresh plants and olive trees. Beluga Vodka at Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge
Luxury Russian vodka brand Beluga Vodka has launched their debut summer residency at London’s Harvey Nichol’s fifth floor terrace. Until 29th August, guests are invited to swap the hustle and bustle of London for a relaxing oasis at the Beluga Summer Terrace, whilst enjoying an array of expertly crafted cocktails.
Beluga Vodka has handcrafted nine signature serves to be sipped on the rooftop, ensuring something to suit all palates. The expertly made classic Espresso Martini, summery Strawberry Martini and Bees Knees – an infusion of Beluga Noble Vodka, lime juice and Manuka honey syrup – highlight the brand’s perfect profile as a base for martinis. A range of spritz and long drinks are also available for those seeking a more refreshing choice for long summer days. They include My Sweet Pea – Beluga Noble vodka, homemade garden pea cordial and Fever-Tree cucumber soda – Tropical Summer – Beluga Noble, passionfruit kombucha and Fever-Tree soda – and Worth Its Weight – Beluga Noble vodka, Fever-Tree sweet rhubarb tonic and Harvey Nichols prosecco – alongside three Beluga Noble vodka serves paired with tonic and sodas.
Capri by the River at Tavolino in London Bridge
Tavolino, the Italian restaurant in London Bridge, has launched a summer terrace in partnership with award-winning modern Italian aperitivo Italicus. The 100-seater terrace has been transformed into Capri by the River, with dishes and drinks inspired by the Italian coast. Located on the banks of the river Thames, the terrace boasts incomparable views of the city and London’s iconic Tower Bridge. Whilst Tavolino is located in the heart of the capital, both menu and décor will transport guests to Italy’s Bay of Naples. St Germain floral terraces in Covent Garden, Kings Cross and Hackney
Inviting Londoners to a summer of bloom, St Germain has curated a series of beautiful floral terraces in partnership with renowned McQueens Flowers. Londoners can expect to enjoy a delicious St Germain Spritz in a flower-festooned paradise. The following al fresco spots will have their Instagrammable installations up until the 28th September: Mrs Riot (Covent Garden), Radio Rooftop (Covent Garden), Great Northern Hotel (Kings Cross) and Floraison by St-Germain (Broadway Market).
Live Music at Canalside, Hackney Wick
Throughout the summer until Thursday 26th August, Canalside at Here East is bringing the live music to you. Canalside, a strip of independent restaurants, bars and shops featuring a spa, hairdressers and even gym has firmly positioned itself as a one-stop shop, and it’s now bringing a little bit extra. Palm 34 at 34 Mayfair
The elegant restaurant coined the hidden gem of Mayfair launches its latest campaign in collaboration with Perrier-Jouët Champagne and Malfy Gin. From 24th August, guests will be able to enjoy a beautiful Palm Springs-inspired installation alongside a new limited-edition food and pink cocktail menu, available throughout the summer season. Situated just off Grosvenor Square, 34 Mayfair will transport guests across the pond into a world of colour and elegance. The façade of the restaurant will be adorned with an array of green palm trees and pink flamingos, and diners can also opt to sit outside on the new colourful terrace flanked by pink and white awnings. Cointreau margarita-themed terraces
Mark this August Bank holiday in style surrounded by Acapulco vibes across the UK with a host of Cointreau-themed pop-up bars, rooftops and terraces. For those in search of a bookable London drinking spot, look no further than Cointreau’s outdoor terraces. These include FAM Bar in Mayfair, Blanchette in Soho and the newest neighbourhood hotspot in Clapham, The Little Orange Door. Now the cat’s out of the bag as they have collaborated with the coolest name in mezcal to create a summer pop-up well worth travelling for, Print House x Mezcal Verde. Open Friday and Saturday 7-11pm across the summer, the terrace will transport guests to Oaxaca with live music and a specialist Mezcal menu that’s full of flavour.
