In an exciting development for families and fans of the beloved Paddington Bear, Studiocanal, in collaboration with Raymond Gubbay Limited, has announced the launch of Paddington in Concert. This unique event brings the award-winning 2014 film Paddington to the big screen, accompanied by the captivating live music of The London Concert Orchestra, playing the film’s calypso-infused score composed by Nick Urata.

Set to tour across the UK during the 2024 Easter holidays, this cinematic and musical event offers a new way to experience the heartwarming story based on Michael Bond’s timeless books. First introduced in 1958, Paddington Bear has become a cherished character in children’s literature, known for his adventures and love for marmalade sandwiches.

The film Paddington follows the story of a young bear from Peru who finds himself in London in search of a new home. Adopted by the Brown family, Paddington’s life seems to take a turn for the better until he attracts the attention of a museum taxidermist. The movie, featuring a stellar cast including Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent and Nicole Kidman, with voices by Ben Whishaw and Imelda Staunton, was both a critical and box office success upon its release.

The concert tour promises to be a multisensory delight, as audiences can watch the film on a giant HD screen while experiencing the live orchestra, bringing a new depth to Nick Urata’s vibrant score. The tour includes stops at notable venues like the Royal Festival Hall in London, Brighton Centre, Southend Cliffs Pavilion and others in Sheffield, Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Owen Kent, Head of Events for Raymond Gubbay Ltd, expressed excitement about the event, highlighting its appeal to audiences of all ages. Catherine Serre, Head of Music at STUDIOCANAL, also shared her enthusiasm, noting that the concert is a tribute to the joyous music of the film and a fantastic family experience.

Tickets for Paddington in Concert are now available, offering a perfect holiday outing for families and fans eager to relive the magic of Paddington Bear in a unique and enchanting format.
