Oasis confirm Live 27 world tour with epic four-night Knebworth finale

Oasis have confirmed a run of concerts for 2027 under the banner Oasis Live 27, taking in the UK, Ireland, mainland Europe and the United States, and culminating in four nights at Knebworth in Hertfordshire in September – three decades after the band’s two performances at the same site in August 1996. The tour was announced on Monday 14^th September and follows the group’s 2025 reunion, their first live shows since splitting in 2009.

The itinerary opens in Glasgow at Celtic Park on 21^st May with five dates, before moving to Manchester’s Etihad Stadium for 11 nights in June. European dates follow in Munich, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris and Rome across July, with US shows at Gillette Stadium in Boston and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in August. The band will then play two nights at Slane Castle, north of Dublin, in early September, before the Knebworth shows on 11^th, 12^th, 18^th and 19^th September.

In a statement, the band said: “Start the celebrations! After a period of reflection, The Most Damaging Pop Cultural Force In Recent British History has declared itself fit for purpose and will once again return to lift the spirits of the people. Come witness the fitness. It shall be a sight to behold.” The phrase in quotation marks was drawn from a Guardian opinion piece about the group.

The announcement had been preceded by a drone display above the Etihad Stadium in Manchester last week and by posts on the band’s Instagram account. The 2027 dates mark the band’s first mainland European shows since reforming and add US cities omitted from the 2025 run. The Paris date carries particular significance, as the band originally separated shortly before a scheduled 2009 appearance at the city’s Rock en Seine festival.

UK tickets will be priced between £71.50 and £266.60. All pricing information has been published in advance, following intervention by the Competition and Markets Authority, which required Ticketmaster to change how it advertises tickets and to stop providing what the watchdog described as “misleading” information about seating. The changes came after complaints about the 2025 sale, during which tiered pricing meant some buyers expecting to pay £148.50 per ticket were presented with a £350 cost at the checkout, with only minutes to decide whether to proceed.

Under the new arrangements, Ticketmaster must inform buyers 24 hours in advance if tiered pricing will be applied, specify which tickets are affected and explain how the system operates. Once a sale is live, the price range must be published and updated as tickets sell out. Prospective buyers for the 2027 tour must register by 4pm BST on Wednesday 17^th September. Organisers said registration had been introduced “to reduce queuing times and organised ticket touting in order to give genuine fans the best possible chance to buy tickets”.

Speculation about a Knebworth return began in October 2025, when Baroness Taylor of Stevenage told the House of Lords that Oasis would play five shows “in the fantastic venue of Knebworth House”, a mile from her home. She retracted the remark in the chamber, later telling The Guardian she had been “speaking hypothetically following speculation that they would play Knebworth again as they did in August 1996”. In August, reports emerged that SJM Concerts managing director Simon Moran had obtained an events licence for the site covering audiences of up to 125,000.

The original 1996 concerts drew 250,000 people, around a tenth of those who applied for tickets – a figure estimated at the time to exceed 4% of the British population. “This is history,” Noel Gallagher told the crowd on the second night. The band has recently begun selling replicas of the outfits both brothers wore that evening.

The 2025 reunion comprised 41 dates across the UK, Europe, North and South America, east Asia and Australia. Guardian critic Alexis Petridis wrote in a five-star review of the opening night in Cardiff: “One struggles to think of another artist that’s received such a vociferous reception.” A documentary about the run, Don’t Look Back in Anger, opened in cinemas last week after premiering at the Venice film festival. It did not address the ticket pricing controversy beyond a single remark from Liam Gallagher, who referred to those in the cheap seats before adding: “Actually there are no cheap seats, sorry about that.”

UK Music estimated that the band’s five Heaton Park shows in Manchester last year contributed to a 16% year-on-year rise in music tourist spending in the north-west, reaching £1.4 billion. The tour has also been linked to growth in UK vinyl sales. The band are rumoured to be headlining Glastonbury in 2027, the festival’s first edition after a fallow year in 2026.
