London Palladium to host The Other Songs Live featuring Bernie Taupin, Tom Odell, Gabriels and Celeste

London is set to experience an extraordinary celebration of songwriting talent as The Other Songs Live unveils its stellar line-up for an event at the London Palladium on 20th May. The showcase, in partnership with the Ivors Academy and ahead of The Ivors with Amazon Music, will feature notables such as Bernie Taupin, Elton John’s legendary lyricist, alongside contemporary stars like Tom Odell, Gabriels and Celeste. This unique event aims to delve into the origins of some of the world’s greatest songs through a blend of live performances, intimate interviews and captivating storytelling, all while raising funds for notable music charities.

Among the luminaries taking the stage, Bernie Taupin is set to illuminate the historic songwriting partnership with Elton John that produced countless hits. Also featured are neo-soul group Gabriels, with frontman Jacob Lusk, who shared the stage with Elton John at Glastonbury for a memorable duet of Are You Ready For Love. British artist Tom Odell, known for his global hit Another Love, and Celeste, an award-winning UK vocalist, both previous recipients of the Songwriter of the Year award at The Ivors, are set to perform as well.

The event also boasts an impressive roster including KAMILLE, a Grammy and Ivor Novello award-winning collaborator with Little Mix, Pete Bellotte who worked with Donna Summer, and Toby Gad, the mastermind behind John Legend’s All Of Me. Additional performers include Cian Ducrot, Infinity Song, Jin Jin, Dyo and Sam Wilkinson, making for a night that promises to be unforgettable.

Al Webber, Co-Founder of The Other Songs, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, saying: “We’re delighted to have such a rich combination of songwriters and artists joining us for this year’s event. It’s always amazing to have audiences peer behind the curtain into the stories of some of the most legendary songs ever written, and I have no doubt we will experience more ‘I was there’ moments this time around.”

The event not only celebrates songwriting excellence but also supports a good cause, with proceeds going to The BRIT SchoolThe Ivors Academy Trust, and Nordoff & Robbins. After raising £65,000 in 2023, this year’s event aims to further contribute to these music charities.

Tickets for The Other Songs Live are now available, offering music enthusiasts a rare opportunity to experience the stories behind some of the most iconic songs directly from the artists and songwriters who created them.
