Le Cordon Bleu London has unveiled its 2024 Scholarship Competition, offering a unique chance for culinary enthusiasts to gain unparalleled access to the world of professional cooking and hospitality. This prestigious opportunity is open to applicants worldwide, aiming to discover new talent eager to dive into the culinary arts. The competition encompasses an online application process, followed by semi-final interviews, and culminates in a finale where finalists will compete in a challenge at Le Cordon Bleu London.

The prize, valued at over £60,000, includes enrolment in the nine-month Grand Diplôme® programme, a three-month internship at CORD restaurant under the guidance of Executive Chef Karl O’Dell, a mentoring session with renowned chef Michel Roux, work experience with Galvin Restaurants, a year’s accommodation in London, and a visit to dairy producer Andros’ site in France.

Le Cordon Bleu is known for its commitment to fostering talent and diversity in the gastronomic field, offering scholarships as a pathway for aspiring chefs to achieve their dreams. The institution, with a history spanning more than 120 years, has become a global leader in culinary and hospitality education, with 35 schools in over 20 countries. It runs scholarship competitions each year, and the Le Cordon Bleu Scholarship follows the success of the Julia Child Scholarship and Wine Scholarship by Le Cordon Bleu.

Participants in the scholarship competition will embark on a journey that not only tests their skills but also enriches their knowledge and experience, setting the stage for a promising career in the industry. The competition is now open for entries, with the application period closing on 31st May 2024, leading up to the semi-finals in July and the grand finale in September of the same year.

Michel Roux, Chris Galvin, Louis Latour, Gosset, global publisher Phaidon, family-owned fruit and dairy company, best known for Bonne Maman Andros and student accommodation Londonist, are among the partners of the initiative.
