London Restaurant Festival 2024 returns with a culinary celebration in June

The London Restaurant Festival (LRF), in partnership with American Express, is set to return in June 2024 with over 50 events highlighting the diversity of London’s culinary scene. Running from the 31st May to the 30th June, the festival will feature a range of activities from tasting menus and masterclasses to live performances combined with dining experiences.

The festival will kick off with Food Fest partnering with Yum Bug at Vinegar Yard on the 31st of May, an event that will include sustainable eating concepts and street food vendors, among whom there will be Baba Gâ, Bad Boy Pizza, and Untitled Sandwich Shop.

For the second year running, the programme is divided into Classic and Trending categories. The first group features the best of London traditional dining scene, with some of the LRF’s favourites, the likes of Top Ten Cuisines, a series of ten evenings hosted by best in their field chefs, or Tasting Menu, during which participating restaurants serve bespoke and keenly priced menus created especially for the initiative. The second category puts the spotlight on what’s new and hot: the ever-popular Restaurant-Hopping Tours and Neighbourhood Nights are among the most anticipated appointments in the calendar.

Notable activities throughout the month will include Bistro Revival at Josephine Bouchon, Leroy, and Bistro Freddie, and masterclasses at Aragawa and Izakaya of Dreams. Exciting combinations of dining and live performances will be showcased at Brasserie Zedel’s Crazy Coqs and Cafe Kitty at the Underbelly.

This year’s festival will also focus on new Michelin-starred restaurants and will feature over 180 special menus available to book via OpenTable throughout June. Tickets for American Express Cardmembers will be available from 9 May to 14 May and to the general public thereafter.

Chris Wright, Managing Partner of LRF, stated, “London Restaurant Festival offers something for all foodies, and adapts to the ever-evolving trends. Much of London’s restaurant scene now is a much less formal, more convivial experience and LRF embraces this.”
