Ikoyi to host exclusive Four-Hands with chefs Jeremy Chan and Jan Hartwig

On Sunday, 6th October, London’s two Michelin-starred restaurant Ikoyi will host an exclusive culinary event featuring a collaboration between its Chef Jeremy Chan and guest Chef Jan Hartwig of Munich’s three Michelin-starred restaurant JAN. The Four-Hands, centred around the autumn season’s finest produce and a selection of N25 caviar, will offer lunch and dinner services at a cost of £400 per person, with optional pairings of wine, sake, or tea available.

Chefs Chan and Hartwig, both ambassadors for N25 caviar, will merge their culinary styles to craft a menu highlighting the season’s micro-seasonal produce enhanced by the luxury caviar. Chan is known for his bold use of spices that bring out intense flavours, while Hartwig’s approach is marked by a creative reinterpretation of German cuisine’s core elements.

The dining experience promises to deliver a series of meticulously designed dishes that reflect the chefs’ combined prowess and the convergence of elevated gastronomic techniques, for a one-day-only celebration of season, produce and caviar.

Jeremy Chan is the chef and co-founder of Ikoyi. After graduating from Princeton, he worked in Europe briefly before becoming a chef. In 2017, he opened Ikoyi with his childhood friend and now business partner, Iré Hassan-Odukale. Today, Jeremy is at the forefront of the gastronomic landscape, blending his dishes with spice, flavour and personal experiences. In Spring 2023, Phaidon published Jeremy’s debut cookbook, Ikoyi: A Journey through Bold Heat with Recipes, revealing the very personal record of Jeremy’s incredibly creative and innovative approach to cooking.

Following an apprenticeship at Restaurant Dannenfeld, Braunschweig, in 2000, Jan Hartwig, the chef and owner of JAN, started his culinary journey learning from the best names in the industry throughout Germany. In 2014, he became executive chef of Restaurant ATELIER in the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich, which was awarded 2 Michelin stars the following year and earned the third Michelin star in 2017. Jan left ATELIER in 2021 with dreams of opening his own restaurant. JAN opened in October 2022 and was awarded three Michelin stars in April 2023, making Jan the quickest chef to receive the coveted three Michelin star standing.
