Mumford & Sons announce first world tour since 2018 with a London show in March

British folk-rock band Mumford & Sons have announced a series of nine intimate live performances for March 2025, marking their first headline run in the UK and Europe since 2018. The mini tour, spanning Europe, Australia and North America, will serve as a prelude to the release of their new album Rushmere on 28th March 2025 via Island Records.

The tour begins on 5th March at Melkweg in Amsterdam, followed by dates in Paris and Berlin on 7th and 9th March respectively. The band will then return to the UK to play at the The Kentish Town Forum in London on Tuesday 11th March. The leg is followed by a performance at the Sydney Opera House in Australia on 17th March, before the final four North American dates in Los Angeles on 20th March, Chicago on 22nd March, Toronto on 23rd March, and concluding in New York on 26th March.

Mumford & Sons’ announcement comes on the heels of news regarding their forthcoming album, their first in seven years. Rushmere is titled after the pond on Wimbledon Common in south-west London, where band members Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett and Ted Dwane first gathered and conceived the idea of forming a band. The album was produced by nine-time Grammy winner Dave Cobb and recorded across locations including RCA Studio A in Nashville, in Savannah, GA and at a studio in Devon, UK.

Members of the band’s fan community, Agora, will have priority ticket access commencing on 13th February. General on-sale tickets will be available from 10am local time on Friday 14th February. Fans are advised to register their interest for the show of their choice before Monday 10th February, 23:59 (GMT) by signing up for Agora. Furthermore, fans will receive access via unique codes starting from Wednesday 12th February at 6pm local time to the selected event; however, receiving a code does not guarantee that tickets will be obtained.

In addition to the live dates, Mumford & Sons will appear alongside artists such as David Byrne, Jack White, Chris Martin and Lady Gaga to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live. This event, SNL: The Homecoming Concert, will take place at Radio City Hall in New York and will be streamed live via Peacock for viewers in the United States on 14th February.

The tour is also notable for its charitable aspect, as Mumford & Sons have partnered with PLUS1 to support War Child. With every ticket sold, £1 will be donated to the charity, which works to protect, educate, and uphold the rights of children affected by conflict. This initiative forms part of the band’s ongoing commitment to social causes, providing further context to the tour’s significance within their broader career narrative.
