Argentina Reloaded returns to London this month

Independent international wine initiative Argentina Reloaded, led by sommelier Paz Levinson, will return to London this June. The event, which has previously seen four editions in the UK, will feature a series of wine-focused activities, including a pairing dinner and a professional tasting. The project aims to showcase contemporary Argentine wine and foster dialogue around the country’s evolving scene.

The programme begins on 7th June with a dinner at the two-Michelin-starred Da Terra in Bethnal Green’s Town Hall Hotel. Brazilian-Italian chef Rafael Cagali will host, alongside restaurant manager Charlie Lee, with a dinner menu inspired by Latin American roots and contemporary culinary techniques. The wine service will be led by Levinson, in collaboration with Maria, an award-winning sommelier from Da Terra’s team.

On 9th June the focus will shift to 67 Pall Mall, a private wine club in St James’s, where a masterclass and professional tasting will be held for UK-based sommeliers, importers, collectors and critics. The session, guided by Levinson, will feature 18 handpicked Argentine wine producers, who will each present a single wine. The event will emphasise sustainability, diversity and identity within the Argentine wine industry, with a walkaround tasting following to allow attendees to interact directly with the winemakers and explore current trends for themselves.

Argentina Reloaded was established by Paz Levinson in collaboration with Studio Courtois, a creative agency specialising in gastronomy and hospitality. The project aims to integrate Argentine production into the global conversation and promote connections between producers and the international wine community. With input from hospitality consultant Bruna Amendola, the format is tailored to each host city while staying true to its focus on “real wines, real producers, real connections”.

Levinson, originally from Patagonia and now based in Paris, is regarded as one of Argentina’s leading sommeliers. She currently serves as Executive Wine Director for Groupe PIC, overseeing wine programmes in France, the UK, Switzerland, Singapore and Dubai. Her accolades include Best Sommelier of the Americas and a finalist in the ASI Best Sommelier of the World competition. She describes Argentina Reloaded as “about showing who we are through the wines we make. Argentina is more than Malbec – it’s a mosaic of places, ideas and people. I want our wines to be remembered, not just tasted.”

Following the London event, Argentina Reloaded will also take place in Buenos Aires, Amsterdam and São Paulo later in 2025. Each edition will feature a combination of trade tastings, wine fairs and pairing dinners in collaboration with local chefs and sommeliers.
