Manchester pizzeria Forbici teams up with The Urban Gent to offer dads free haircuts on Father’s Day

Pizzeria Forbici in Manchester has announced a collaboration with local barbershop The Urban Gent to offer a complimentary haircut to fathers dining at the restaurant on 15th June. The initiative, timed to coincide with Father’s Day, aims to provide a unique experience for Manchester families by combining a meal with a grooming service.

The offer will be available exclusively to dads who order any pizza while dining in at the restaurant. Upon settling the bill, eligible customers will receive a physical voucher for a free haircut at The Urban Gent, whose diverse clientele includes high-profile figures such as former Manchester United player Marcos Rojo and the city’s mayor, Andy Burnham. The voucher can be redeemed for a standard haircut, valued at £30, between 15th June and 15th July 2025, and customers wishing to upgrade their service can use the voucher as credit towards other grooming treatments.

Forbici, which opened recently in Manchester, specialises in Neapolitan-style pizza made with ingredients sourced directly from Naples. The restaurant’s name, meaning “scissors” in Italian, reflects its distinctive serving method: pizzas are cut into quarters at the table using scissors, in a nod to traditional Italian practices. According to the restaurant, this approach is intended to distinguish Forbici within Manchester’s growing food scene.

The Urban Gent is described as a “celebrated” grooming destination in the city, offering services across all hair types with a growing reputation as a celebrity hotspot.

Forbici’s management stated that the collaboration is intended to provide “more than just a full belly” for fathers celebrating on Sunday: “Every dad who dines in at Forbici on Father’s Day will walk away with more than just a full belly – they’ll also receive a voucher for a free professional haircut, redeemable at Urban Gent, one of the city’s most respected grooming destinations.”
