OMOSS, introducing the UK’s first ready-to-drink sea moss drinks, has launched in the country. The product has become available since this summer and has recently been named Best New Organic Drink Product at the 2025 Natural & Organic Innovation Awards. The new line aims to bring the long-standing nutritional benefits of sea moss — a marine plant used for centuries in Irish and Caribbean cultures — into a modern, convenient format for health-conscious consumers.

The beverage is formulated with 50% organic Irish sea moss extract and includes additional botanicals such as Lion’s Mane, Ashwagandha, and Ginkgo Biloba, depending on the flavour. OMOSS is available in three varieties: Clean, Tropical, and Pomegranate, and retails at £4.50 per bottle via the brand’s website.

Sea moss, also known as Chondrus crispus, has been traditionally used as a natural remedy believed to support immune function, gut health, thyroid regulation, and skin conditions. The sea moss used in OMOSS products is sourced from the Atlantic coast of Ireland, where it is hand-harvested and dried under controlled conditions to preserve its nutrients.

Founder Marley Finn, a former professional rugby player turned performance coach, said: “We created OMOSS to simplify wellness and encourage people to think more deeply about what they consume. Coming from a background in professional sport, honest, natural nutrition has always been central to my daily routine. Experiencing first-hand the benefits of sea moss inspired the decision to bring the OMOSS world to life.”

Finn added, “Sea moss products have typically been difficult to enjoy. Finding one that didn’t make you wince was nearly impossible. We worked closely with leading food scientists to refine the taste, while preserving the powerful natural benefits.”

The drinks are plant-based, gluten-free, and contain no artificial flavours or preservatives. Natural sweeteners such as monk fruit and erythritol are used in place of refined sugar.

In addition to its health-focused mission, OMOSS has partnered with marine conservation charity Project Zero, pledging 4.4% of its profits to support ocean preservation initiatives.
