George Clooney and Adam Sandler team up for Jay Kelly, Noah Baumbach’s latest feature

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Jay Kelly, the upcoming film from Noah Baumbach, starring George Clooney and Adam Sandler as a famous actor-manager duo navigating the complexities of fame, friendship and legacy on a road trip across Europe.

Clooney stars as Jay Kelly, a celebrated movie star at a crossroads, with Sandler playing Ron, his long-time manager and confidant. As the pair embark on what begins as a whirlwind publicity tour, the journey quickly takes a reflective turn, forcing them to confront the lives they’ve built – and what they may have left behind.

The teaser features Jay Kelly Theme, an original score composed by three-time Oscar nominee Nicholas Britell (Succession, Moonlight, If Beale Street Could Talk), offering an evocative sonic backdrop to the film’s shifting emotional tones.

Baumbach, best known for Marriage Story, The Meyerowitz Stories and Frances Ha, co-wrote the screenplay with Emily Mortimer, who also appears in the film. The star-studded cast includes Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Stacy Keach, Jim Broadbent, Patrick Wilson, Eve Hewson, Greta Gerwig, Alba Rohrwacher, Lenny Henry and Isla Fisher, among many others.

Shot by Oscar-winning cinematographer Linus Sandgren (La La Land), with production design by Mark Tildesley (Phantom Thread) and costumes by Jacqueline Durran (Little Women), Jay Kelly promises a rich visual and emotional experience.

Produced by Baumbach alongside David Heyman and Amy Pascal, Jay Kelly opens in select cinemas on 14th November and lands on Netflix globally on 5th December.
