Renowned chef Matt Burgess, known professionally as Mat Blak, will return to The Broadcaster in White City on 21st September for a barbecue event. The live-fire cooking session, taking place from 12 to 5pm, marks the second instalment of the chef’s rooftop takeover, following a previous appearance in August. Attendees are offered an all-you-can-eat menu for £40 per person, with the aim of showcasing Blak’s signature open-flame cooking style in a more intimate setting. A live DJ will also provide music throughout the afternoon, with a focus on relaxed, sunset-inspired tracks to complement views across the London skyline.

The barbecue menu will feature a selection of grilled meats and seafood, including Chicken al Mattone, 21-Day Dry-Aged Red Suffolk Pork Belly, and Wild Sea Trout with Amalfi Lemon. A variety of sides such as charred corn elotes and Jersey Royal potatoes will accompany the main dishes. Guests will also have access to a trio of house-made sauces, with the option to add a burnt marshmallow S’more for an additional £5. For those seeking a more indulgent experience, a drinks package offering unlimited prosecco or mimosas will be available for an additional £24 per person.

Mat Blak, who is of Māori heritage from New Zealand, brings over three decades of culinary experience. His career includes roles at prominent London establishments such as Soho House, Gordon Ramsay’s Maze Grill and Caravan. In addition to his restaurant work, the chef has developed an award-winning range of condiments, which are stocked by retailers including Selfridges and Fortnum & Mason.

The rooftop takeover is part of The Broadcaster’s ongoing programme of hosting guest chefs and seasonal food events. Tickets for the barbecue are available for booking now.
