Delta Air Lines has announced a partnership with acclaimed Spanish-American chef and humanitarian José Andrés to introduce new in-flight dining options inspired by traditional Spanish cuisine. The collaboration will launch this November in Delta One and Delta First cabins, with a phased rollout continuing into 2026. The initiative forms part of Delta’s broader effort to enhance its onboard service and culinary offerings for long-haul passengers.

The new menu, developed in collaboration between Andrés’ team and Delta’s culinary experts, is designed to retain flavour and quality at high altitudes. Dishes include Spanish Tortilla with Pisto Manchego, Braised Beef Short Rib with Mojo Rojo BBQ Sauce, Stuffed Piquillo Peppers and Spanish Style Chicken with a sherry sauce and celeriac-potato purée.

“Many people, including me, love to travel for food… they are looking for a new taste, a new dish, a new ingredient,” said Andrés. “Well, now these flavours can be experienced before you even land! It is a dream to be able to bring these flavours into the skies with our friends at Delta.”

In addition to the new menu, a 2026 wine programme has been unveilied, curated in collaboration with master sommelier Andrea Robinson, who describes the selection as “pure deliciousness” resulting from the brand’s commitment to sustainable farming and outstanding quality. Launching in October 2025 and running until September 2026, the list features selections from Italy, France and California’s Napa Valley, with notable offerings including an Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon from Californian producer Stag’s Leap, Italian vineyard Marchesi Antinori’s Cont’Ugo Super Tuscan and a VIK “A” Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile. 

The airline’s latest culinary and beverage initiatives underscore its continued investment in elevating the onboard experience for premium travellers. Stephanie Laster, Delta’s managing drector of onboard dining experience, explained the collaboration with Andrés reflects the airline’s goal to offer hospitality with a personal touch: “Chef Andrés is not only a culinary icon, he’s also a force for good. His people-centric approach and global influence align perfectly with Delta’s mission to deliver hospitality with heart. We couldn’t be more excited about this partnership.”
