MUBI hosts food and film celebration at Selfridges cinema this November

Global film distributor and streaming platform MUBI has announced Let’s Eat! Food and Film, an all-day event at The Cinema at Selfridges on Thursday 20^th November 2025. Kicking off at 2pm, the London takeover blends cult culinary cinema with gastronomic experiences, exclusive talks and tasty surprises, offering a feast for the senses just in time for the winter chill.

Tickets start from £10 (£6 concessions), and the programme promises a packed schedule of screenings and events into the evening. The line-up includes cult hits such as Big Night, The Lunchbox, First Cow, Phantom Thread, Babette’s Feast, Raw and The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Lover. Complementary food and drinks will be on offer throughout, with free pizza for early arrivals and a specially curated menu by chef and culinary artist Heal Goblin (Nil Mutluer) available during the evening.

MUBI’s day-long celebration aims to explore the relationship between food and cinema across global cultures and genres. The event also serves as the launch of a new MUBI season dedicated to food on screen, which will span their streaming platform, podcast and Notebook magazine.

Beyond the big screen, there will be a photography exhibition previewing an upcoming Notebook feature, a cocktail collaboration with Campari, and a food-themed film quiz hosted by Sandwich magazine. Student discounts apply for all screenings.

The full event is part of a broader initiative by MUBI to dive deeper into the role of food in cinematic storytelling. Expect rich stories, sensory delights and more than a few appetite-inducing scenes in what promises to be a one-of-a-kind film experience.
