“It reveals more about Chris than he ever has before”: Tom Barbor-Might on Chris Hemsworth – A Road Trip to Remember

Following the success of Limitless, Chris Hemsworth embarks on a deeply personal journey with his father, Craig, in Chris Hemsworth: A Road Trip to Remember, directed by Tom Barbor-Might and produced in collaboration with National Geographic for Disney+. Prompted by Craig’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis, the documentary begins as a father–son motorcycle trip across Australia but gradually evolves into an exploration of how connection, memory and shared experiences can influence brain health. Combining striking landscapes with insights from scientific breakthroughs and intimate moments of the human condition, it reframes strength as something that extends beyond physical endurance. A Road Trip to Remember offers a quietly powerful look at reminiscence therapy, suggesting that love, presence and community may play a role in slowing cognitive decline – and reminding us that some of the most meaningful journeys unfold in the spaces between memory and connection.

Ahead of the series’ premiere, Barbor-Might spoke to The Upcoming about his previous work with Hemsworth on the Limitless season finale, where the actor explored ways to live a longer, healthier life; why he chose to have Hemsworth film parts of the trip himself, allowing audiences to experience moments through his eyes; and the “structured chaos” that emerged naturally within the framework of reminiscence therapy.
