Mumford & Sons to return to BST Hyde Park as 2026 headliners after ten-year hiatus

British folk-rock band Mumford & Sons will headline American Express presents BST Hyde Park on Saturday 4^th July 2026 at London’s Hyde Park, returning to the Great Oak Stage for the first time in ten years. The West London-formed group will be joined by special guests The War On Drugs, with further acts to be announced.

The performance marks a return to a venue with significant history for the band, which has been active since 2008. Over the course of their career, Mumford & Sons have headlined major festivals, achieved chart success and collaborated with figures including Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young.

Their forthcoming album, Prizefighter, is scheduled for release on 13^th February. Recorded with Aaron Dessner at Long Pond Studio, the record features contributions from Hozier, Gracie Abrams, Chris Stapleton and Gigi Perez. It follows RUSHMERE, the band’s 2025 UK number one album, which accompanied a sold-out global arena tour.

In a statement, Mumford & Sons said: “Hyde Park is woven into our story, it’s where so many memories were made. Coming back a decade later, with all this new music, feels incredibly special. London is and always will be the band’s home. We can’t wait.”

The 2026 setlist is expected to span the band’s full catalogue, including early material, more recent releases and previously unperformed new songs.

AEG Presents CEO Jim King commented: “Their last Hyde Park show was a milestone for BST. Having them return at this moment in their career is something we’re incredibly proud of.”

Support act The War on Drugs, fronted by Adam Granduciel, won the 2018 Grammy Award for Best Rock Album for A Deeper Understanding and were nominated for a BRIT Award for International Group of the Year. The American group released LIVE DRUGS in 2020, followed by LIVE DRUGS AGAIN in 2024, which features live recordings of material from across their career, including their 2014 album Lost In The Dream. Their fifth studio album, I Don’t Live Here Anymore, co-produced by Granduciel and Shawn Everett, received a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Song and a BRIT Award nomination. The band headlined New York’s Madison Square Garden in support of the record.

Other headliners already announced for BST Hyde Park 2026 include country artist Garth Brooks on Saturday 27^th June, Pitbull on Friday 10^th July, and Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi on Saturday 11^th July and Sunday 12^th July. Additional acts are expected to be announced in the coming months.

BST Hyde Park has run annually since 2013, with previous headliners including The Cure, Adele, Take That, Robbie Williams and Neil Young.
