New featurette explores the making of Primate ahead of its January release

Paramount has released a behind-the-scenes featurette for Primate, the upcoming horror-thriller from director and co-writer Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City), ahead of its UK cinema release on 30th January 2026.

The new video offers a first glimpse into the making of the film’s central transformation – a terrifying physical and psychological descent – with commentary from Roberts alongside stars Johnny Sequoyah and Victoria Wyant. What begins as a dream holiday for a group of friends quickly spirals into a primal nightmare, and this sneak peek sets the tone for what’s to come.

The film also stars Jessica Alexander, Oscar-winner Troy Kotsur, Gia Hunter, Benjamin Cheng, Charlie Mann and Tienne Simon. Produced by Walter Hamada and John Hodges, Primate promises a fresh take on survival horror, pushing its characters – and audience – into the wild unknown.
