Queer hockey romance Heated Rivalry lands on Sky and NOW this January

Sky has acquired Heated Rivalry, the steamy queer drama adapted from Rachel Reid’s Game Changers novels, arriving on 10th January 2026 via Sky and streaming service NOW.

Set in the high-stakes world of professional hockey, the story follows rivals Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), whose explosive on-ice competition masks a long-burning connection. What starts as a secret fling between rookies becomes a years-long struggle between ambition, identity and something that looks a lot like love.

Created by Jacob Tierney (Letterkenny, Shoresy) for Canadian platform Crave, the eight-part show also stars François Arnaud, Christina Chang, Dylan Walsh and Sophie Nélisse.

Heated Rivalry blends sports tension with slow-burn romance, offering a fresh spin on the enemies-to-lovers trope.
