The Owens sisters are back, with the first trailer for Practical Magic 2 offering a return to the spellbinding world of the 1998 cult favourite.

Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman reprise their roles, picking up a new chapter in the family’s story as a dark curse once again threatens to tear everything apart. The sequel leans into the same mix of magic, family ties and looming danger, with the sisters forced to confront forces tied to their ancestry.

This time around, they’re joined by a new generation, with a cast that includes Joey King, Maisie Williams and Xolo Maridueña, alongside returning faces Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest.

Directed by Susanne Bier and based on Alice Hoffman’s The Book of Magic, the film builds on the mythology of the original, blending supernatural elements with a story centred on family and legacy.

The trailer hints at a mix of darker stakes and the familiar charm that made the first film a fan favourite, with moonlit rituals, lingering curses and a sense that the past isn’t finished with the Owens family just yet.
