Heartstopper Forever sets July release date as Netflix unveils first BTS image
Netflix has confirmed that Heartstopper Forever, the finale film to the hit series, will arrive on 17th July 2026.
The announcement was made on the fourth anniversary of the show’s debut, accompanied by a new behind-the-scenes image of the cast and a video looking back across previous seasons.
The film will bring Nick and Charlie’s story to a close, picking up as the couple face a new phase in their relationship. With Nick preparing to leave for university and Charlie finding his independence at school, the pair are forced to confront the realities of long distance, as doubts begin to creep in.
Alongside them, their friendship group continues to navigate the shifting dynamics of love, identity and growing up, as the story moves towards its final chapter.
Based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novels, the film is written by Oseman and directed by Wash Westmoreland, with Kit Connor and Joe Locke returning in the lead roles alongside the wider ensemble cast.
Since its debut, Heartstopper has built a devoted global following, and the move to a feature-length finale marks the end of one of Netflix’s most beloved coming-of-age series.
