Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, the three Michelin-starred restaurant located within the Mayfair hotel in London, has promoted Stéphane Petit to the role of Executive Chef. The appointment, announced in April 2026, will see Petit working under the direction of Chef Patron Jean-Philippe Blondet, leading the kitchen team in maintaining the restaurant’s culinary standards.

Petit has worked closely with Blondet for more than a year and has been part of the wider Ducasse Paris group for over a decade. During his time at the London restaurant, he has contributed to its contemporary interpretation of French gastronomy, with a focus on quality, seasonality and sustainability — principles that align with the broader Alain Ducasse philosophy.

His career has been shaped within several Michelin-starred kitchens internationally, with experience in Paris, Monaco, Dubai, Saint-Tropez, London and Kyoto. He progressed through the kitchen ranks from demi-chef de partie to chef de partie, then to sous-chef and executive chef’s assistant. A significant point in his career came in May 2016 at Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse in Monaco, where he first met Alain Ducasse. That meeting marked the start of his work within the Ducasse Group, which subsequently took him to Cucina by Alain Ducasse in Saint-Tropez, Muni Alain Ducasse in Kyoto, and Mix Dubaï in Dubai.

In his new position, Petit will lead the kitchen team in maintaining the restaurant’s three Michelin-starred status, working alongside Blondet to develop the guest experience further.

“I am honoured to step into this role and continue working alongside Jean-Philippe and our exceptional team,” said Petit. “Alain Ducasse’s vision has been a guiding force throughout my career, and I look forward to building on this legacy with passion and commitment.”

Restaurant Director Marion Pepin continues in her role overseeing front-of-house operations. Pepin began her career with the Ducasse group at Le Meurice in Paris before joining Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester in 2022 as Assistant Restaurant Director. She was promoted to Restaurant Director in February 2023 and works closely with Blondet on the running of the dining room and the guest experience.

Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, situated within The Dorchester hotel, serves contemporary French haute cuisine and is overseen by Alain Ducasse alongside his London-based team. The restaurant holds three Michelin stars and is regarded as one of the United Kingdom’s leading fine-dining establishments.
