Little Simz announces surprise EP Sugar Girl set for May release

Little Simz has surprised fans with the announcement of a new EP, Sugar Girl, arriving on 8th May via AWAL Recordings.

The news was revealed via her social channels, accompanied by a striking black-and-white teaser clip featuring an unreleased track, offering a first glimpse at the project’s tone.

Further details about the EP are yet to be announced, but the release marks Simz’s latest move following a prolific run of critically acclaimed music and major live performances.

Widely regarded as one of the UK’s most innovative artists, Simz has built a reputation for deeply personal, genre-defying work, with projects like Sometimes I Might Be Introvert and NO THANK YOU earning widespread acclaim. More recently, her 2025 album Lotus continued that trajectory, alongside headline shows and high-profile collaborations.

Sugar Girl is set to drop on 8th May, with more information expected in the coming days.
