Bella Ramsey and James Norton lead coming-of-age drama Sunny Dancer

Bella Ramsey, James Norton, Jessica Gunning and Neil Patrick Harris star in Sunny Dancer, a coming-of-age comedy-drama from writer and director George Jaques, which arrives in UK cinemas on 14th August.
The film follows 17-year-old Ivy, who reluctantly spends her final summer before adulthood at a camp for young cancer survivors after completing treatment. Expecting the experience to be anything but enjoyable, she instead finds friendship, first love and a group of fellow teenagers determined to make the most of life after illness.
Ramsey, Norton, Gunning and Harris are joined by a cast of rising young actors including Daniel Quinn-Toye, Earl Cave, Ruby Stokes, Jasmine Elcock and Conrad Khan. Sunny Dancer marks Jaques’s latest feature following Black Dog.
Described as focusing on life after cancer rather than the illness itself, Sunny Dancer explores the challenges of growing up, finding independence and navigating life beyond survival.
