Democratic fashion: OWN LABEL

Democratic fashion: OWN LABEL

It’s not every day that one stumbles upon labels which aim to democratise fashion and make sure that fashion junkies and aficionados alike get a taste of high-quality fashion that does not put a hole in the pocket. Hence, London-based OWN LABEL is a breath of fresh air amidst fashion-houses with sky-rocketing prices. The label was set up after collaboration between students from the University of Arts and London Business School, and the four founding members come from varied industries like finance, broadcast and communication industry, graphic design and design studies.

OWN LABEL’s ethos is simple: to channel the talent of upcoming designers and give them a platform to reach out to a vast number of fashion-conscious consumers. Meanwhile, the consumers also get a chance to determine what looks stylish and have a say on emerging trends. Now, that’s surely making the consumer feel like a king!

What’s more, designers can submit their original designs while the public can vote for their favourite designs. Due to the varied nature of the designers, the label also boasts an array of unique collections hardly found on the high street.

Now that will definitely get our vote. Click here to participate in fashion democracy!
