Perfect Christmas Sunday

Perfect Christmas Sunday

Christmas is a time for celebration, and luckily not only on Sundays. There is an abundance of things going on this winter, so along with the raved-about Christmas adverts, Christmas carols, Christmas food, etc., why not dip your feet into the cinnamon-flavoured Christmas activity pool? (A lot more fun than it sounds.)

Christmas 1To begin your perfect Sunday, travel to London (festive-hype-hotspot) and get in early at Camden Market. The bustle of people, the smell of exotic food and the hidden treasures will make you crave for the big day. With hundreds of stalls, all holding individual gifts, whether you are just there to look, or to relish the atmosphere, Camden Market has you covered.

ChristmasWhen the afternoon is drawing closer and food is most likely to be on your mind, wander down to the Tobacco Dock open from 21st until 24th December, with some of the best food stands lined up for your fancy, including names such as the Brownie Bar and some of London’s best chefs, you won’t go hungry here.

Christmas 2Once some of the most delicious food has lined your stomach, and you’re ready to walk it off, why not take a turn around Covent Garden? With the Christmas lights lining the streets, building-sized reindeer and Christmas trees popping up, it’s the perfect place to wander through the large white pillars and flitter through the shops, looking at the interesting items they have for you.

Christmas 3If you’re thrill seeking, and the mellow nature of Covent Garden has you craving for something more scream-worthy, then travel to Hyde Park for Winter Wonderland, a festive theme park with hot drinks, scary rides and an atmosphere to get anyone in the winter mood. With free entry and not a large amount to pay for the activities, it’s the perfect accompaniment to your day out.

Christmas 4To finish the day off, travel down to Embankment and pop into Somerset House for their famous ice-skating rink with the larger-than-life Christmas tree being the first thing you see as you walk in. With tickets from £8.75, you better get booking quick to experience this (festivities at an all-time high in the evening).

With an array of options, all low-cost but high in amusement, travel to London for your perfect Christmas Sunday – or any other day of the week.
