Leman Street Tavern launches in the East End

The Leman Street Tavern welcomes its customers with a sophisticated atmosphere. The interior has an elegant feel to it, while framed pictures and posters on the walls remind the clientèle of famous London surroundings. The restaurant is cleverly structured: a large, stylish bar along with an adjacent lounge area fills the middle of the room and gives plenty of opportunity for a casual drink after work. The right-hand side of the establishment is devoted to dining. This way, the Leman Street Tavern retains a modern vibe without denying the possibility of a nice sit-down meal.

The bar serves a wide range of drinks, ranging from wine and beer to posher cocktail options. The Whisky Sour Fizz is especially recommendable and the bar tenders take great care in preparing each drink spectacularly before the customers’ eyes. A pleasant and not too overpowering selection of up-to-date music plays in this section of the room, which turns the area into a hip and relaxed hangout space.

The restaurant area offers pub classics, along with a side of tempting and fairly priced signature dishes. There is a separate canapé, slider and tapas menu, which is great for sharing and allows customers to pick and mix, and thus taste a wide range of the Tavern’s specialities. The Jerusalem Artichoke, Spinach and Salsify Tarte is very enjoyable, though the true highlight is a simple side of proper hand-cut chips, deep-fried and accompanied by a mayonnaise with freshly grated truffle – a pure delight.

Overall, the Leman Street Tavern is a highly recommendable spot for almost every occasion that is sure to delight on every level.
