Be prepared for the coolest indie music festival this weekend: Camden Crawl 2012

The Camden Crawl hits town again this bank holiday weekend. Every main venue across Camden will play host to some of the best and coolest indie and rock acts including Death in Vegas, The Cribs, Glasvegas, Alabama 3 and The Futureheads. Other bands to keep an eye on over the weekend include Niki and the Dove, Tom Williams and the Boat, The Raincoats and Brontide. It’s one ticket and 300 artists and events all over Camden Town – in short, the first festival of the summer! Bands play into the night, with comedy acts, spoken word and exhibitions kicking off from 11am each day.

The main strip of venues runs from Mornington Crescent (where you will find the Koko) straight down to Chalk Farm (for The Roundhouse, Barfly and The Enterprise). Easy walking (or staggering by 10pm on Saturday) distance between each venue makes Camden the perfect area for a festival of this type. Decide which bands you definitely want to see and wile away the rest of the evening by dropping in on some unknowns. With so many great acts playing over the weekend, you’re sure to discover some great new gems. The single ticket price entitles you entry to all participating venues at no extra cost. So grab your sunglasses and let’s hope the rain holds off!
