British Heart Foundation: Makeover challenge

British Heart Foundation: Makeover challenge

We are getting closer to Christmas, which means a jam-packed month of trees, markets, dinners and parties… there’s no shortage of things to do! Besides all these, this time of the year is also a great opportunity to help others and give something back to the community – after all isn’t that what Christmas is all about? It will definitely give you those Christmassy feelings.

If you aren’t really sure how to do this or don’t have that much time to give (we all know how things can be a bit hectic at this time of the year), British Heart Foundation has recently launched a campaign that might be right for you.

The Makeover Challenge campaign was created to bring awareness of heart and circulatory diseases and to raise funds for research on finding a cure.

The British Heart Foundation challenged leading interior designers to create a room. With a £500 budget and only 10 hours to complete it, they could only use items purchased from their local BHF store. The charity is hoping this mission will encourage others to visit one of the 180 stores across the UK and beat the £25 million raised in 2017.

Besides supporting an incredible cause, shopping from BHF could actually save you a lot of money. From furniture and home accessories to electrical goods, these stores are the place to go if you’re on a budget – sofas start at £95 and wardrobes are priced from just £40! So give it a go and don’t forget to share your pictures using #BoughtatBHF.
