Cannes Film Festival 2019: Red carpet

Cannes Film Festival 2019: Red carpet

It’s one of the world’s most prestigious movie events with a red carpet as highly anticipated as the films themselves. We watched in awe this year as stars from across the globe glided into the Cannes Film Festival in arguably some of the best looks in the event’s 72 year run. Take a look at our favourite looks from the night!

Lea Seydoux opted for a stunning top and trouser combo in lieu of a gown for a screening of Oh Mercy! We adore her black pumps and waist belt punctuating the contrast between her fitted white top and sapphire blue tuxedo trousers.

Elle Fanning had many amazing outfits at this year’s festival but we just could not resist this one. She was, fittingly, the absolute picture of vintage Hollywood glamour at the premiere of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

At the very same premiere, it was difficult to take our eyes off model Winnie Harlow, who was channeling a super stylish Red Riding Hood vibe in this striking red mini dress.

Penelope Cruz attended the festival in a stunning blue and white gown with a classic updo. She added sparkle to her look with jewellery pieces from her collaboration with Atelier Swarovski.

Bella Hadid was a vision in a layered white tulle gown from Dior’s haute couture collection.

We are pretty much obsessed with this breathtaking, blue plunge neck gown worn by the beautiful Jasmine Tookes. The embroidery is simply stunning whilst the lengthy train makes for quintessential red carpet attire.

Sara Sampaio may have rocked a lot of incredible dresses on the Cannes red carpets but this silver trouser suit was to die for!

Adriana Lima was fittingly glamorous in a glitzy, floor length royal blue gown. We love how the elegant high neckline perfectly balances the sultry thigh high split.

Okay, okay, one more! Elle was every inch the red carpet princess in this breathtaking embroidered gown complete with a tulle cape and bejeweled collar.

Margot Robbie was absolutely stunning in this couture Chanel outfit accessorised with a black choker and sparkling silver drop earrings.
