“It definitely doesn’t disappoint”: Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin on Outlander season seven

With Outlander now entering its seventh season, the epic story continues through 16 split episodes that will mesmerise fans with romance, time travel and ever-changing family dynamics. The events of this new instalment will bring to screen the seventh book in the Outlander collection by Diana Gabaldon, entitled An Echo in the Bone, in which the narrative returns to Fraser’s Ridge in the 18th century, amidst the Revolutionary War.

Bringing to a close some of the cliffhangers left in season six, this new chapter will see a family addition to the McKenzie brood that presents huge changes for them, a bid for freedom from Claire after she has been imprisoned in Wilmington for the murder of Malva, and some unexpected family revelations that bring both danger and resolution.

The Upcoming had the pleasure of speaking to cast members Sophie Skelton (Brianna) and Richard Rankin (Roger) about returning to form, where we can see them heading in this new outing, revealing the deeper layers of their immediate family, the fun with the time travel sequences and how they can see the story moving forward.
