Claridge’s Restaurant unveils alfresco dining The Terrace at Mayfair hotel

Claridge’s Hotel in Mayfair has opened The Terrace at its iconic restaurant, offering guests an oasis of dining elegance amidst the hustle of London. This new al fresco space is perfectly poised for those seeking a serene spot for drinks, lunches and dinners. Under the guidance of culinary director Simon Attridge, the menu promises seasonal delights and ingredient-focused dishes, ranging from shared snacks to indulgent larger plates and desserts.

Attridge’s menu for The Terrace includes a variety of dishes designed to tantalise the taste buds. For lighter fare, guests can enjoy Montgomery Gourgères with Pickled Walnuts, Sole Goujons with Tartare Sauce, or Cobble Lane Coppa accompanied by homemade pickles. A standout feature on the menu is the Claridge’s Fried Chicken (CFC), presented with a citrus créme fraîche – recommended to be ordered in abundance. In addition, a selection of savoury crumpets, changing daily, will feature unique toppings such as Crab and Apple; Lobster Cocktail; and Lardo with Truffled Honey, evolving with the season’s best offerings.

The menu also boasts larger dishes that reflect the essence of summer, including English Asparagus with Hazelnut and Truffle Vinaigrette; Severn and Wye Smoked Salmon; and a Crisp Cucumber and Fennel Salad. Desserts remain a highlight, with options such as a classic Eton Mess with Strawberries and a sophisticated Cookie Sandwich with Vanilla Ice Cream, alongside a beverage menu featuring Ruinart champagne, Carlingford oysters, and a selection of rosé wines from Château d’Esclans in Provence. The cocktail list includes innovative creations like the Blood Orange Garibaldi and the Peach Piquant.

With its prime location in the heart of Mayfair, The Terrace at Claridge’s Restaurant offers a secluded retreat from the city’s frenzy, making it a coveted spot for the summer.
