Netflix to premiere The Union starring Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry in a thrilling tale of romance and espionage

Netflix is set to launch its latest film, The Union, featuring Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry, on 16th August 2024. Directed by Julian Farino, known for his work on Giri/Haji and Entourage, the film promises a thrilling mix of romance and espionage, set against the backdrop of Europe’s clandestine intelligence world. The Union tells the story of Mike, portrayed by Wahlberg, a construction worker from New Jersey whose life takes an unexpected turn when his high school sweetheart, Roxanne, played by Berry, re-enters his life with a clandestine mission that only he can help her complete.

The cast also includes notable talents such as Mike Colter, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica De Gouw, Alice Lee, Jackie Earle Haley and JK Simmons, adding depth and intrigue to the film’s dynamic storyline. The screenplay is penned by Joe Barton and David Guggenheim, with Guggenheim also credited for the story. Mark Wahlberg joins Stephen Levinson and Jeff Waxman in producing the film, with Jennifer Madeloff serving as the executive producer.
