Viola Davis is back for another action-filled romp in the women and family-focused G20. She stars as the president of the United States who attends the G20 summit, where things go awry as terrorists take over. More than just the leader of the free world, President Danielle Sutton must fight her way out of the hostage situation and reunite with her family. All of the action is wrapped in the trappings of paranoia, the fear of technological advancement and the rise of digital finance. Produced by herself and her husband Julius Tennon, the feature explores the balance between motherhood and leadership.

The Upcoming caught up with husband-and-wife duo of Tennon and Davis at the UK premiere. Tennon talked about what fans could expect from the film, the effects of digital finance and the rise of technology in today’s culture. Davis, on the other hand, commented on her role in the film as a leader and mother and the difficult balancing act between the two. She also highlighted the importance of experiencing her work with an audience.

Actor Douglas Hodge, who plays the fictional Prime Minister of Britain, spoke about the importance of grounding the action-packed story with family, his character’s growth throughout the feature, and his thoughts on rapidly evolving technology.

Director Riggen also stopped by to discuss her research into the G20 summit and cryptocurrency and digital finance to prepare for her directorial role, working with Davis and seeing the growth of her career post-Lemonade Mouth.
