UK sports stadiums expected to host more music events in the future

This summer, almost everyone has been captivated by the return of Oasis. While not all music fans are necessarily fans of Liam and Noel, their remarkable comeback has been impossible to ignore and it highlights just how huge they are, particularly in this part of the world. The band has also played in some exceptional sporting arenas, with fans attending in their thousands.

Of course, Oasis aren’t the only band or artist that has entertained huge crowds in a sporting arena. We’ve seen a number of stars shine this summer, with UK sports stadia now hosting an increasing number of music events. For example, alongside hosting major NFL events where fans wear their jerseys with pride and even bet on the action after checking out NFL playoff odds, Wembley has seen the likes of Coldplay and BLACKPINK. Likewise, Villa Park was the setting for Ozzy Osbourne’s “Back to the Beginning” concert, and it was deemed a huge success.

Now, though, with a number of sporting competitions returning, live concerts will start to slow down a bit. However, this summer has felt like a turning point for hosting massive acts in world-famous sports arenas, especially when assessing some of the UK’s top stadiums. With more sporting homes expected to put on an increasing number of gigs in the near future, below are some of the finest stadiums to potentially see a favourite bands play in the future.
