Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi star in Emerald Fennell’s bold new take on Wuthering Heights

Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi will lead Emerald Fennell’s upcoming reimagining of Wuthering Heights, set to hit UK cinemas on 13th February 2026. The film marks Fennell’s third feature as writer and director, following the provocative Promising Young Woman and last year’s divisive Saltburn.
This adaptation of Emily Brontë’s gothic classic promises a radical departure from the familiar, billed as a bold and original imagining of one of literature’s most iconic love stories. Robbie stars as Cathy and Elordi as Heathcliff, with their forbidden passion descending into a dangerous spiral of lust, obsession and madness.
The ensemble cast also includes Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes and Ewan Mitchell, alongside rising talents Owen Cooper and Charlotte Mellington.
Fennell directs from her own screenplay and produces alongside her LuckyChap Entertainment partners Josey McNamara and Robbie, with Tom Ackerley and Sara Desmond among the executive producers. Behind the camera, she reunites with many of her longtime collaborators, including cinematographer Linus Sandgren and production designer Suzie Davies. The movie’s original score is composed by Anthony Willis, with costume design by Jacqueline Durran and new music from Charli XCX.
Wuthering Heights will open in cinemas just ahead of Valentine’s Day, offering a dark and unconventional twist on the romantic period drama.
