Black Coffee to play orchestral headline show at the O2 in May 2026

Grammy Award-winning DJ and producer Black Coffee has announced a major live performance at London’s The O2 on 22 May 2026 – his biggest UK show to date.

The South African artist, known for his pioneering Afropolitan House sound, will present a one-night-only experience featuring a full orchestra. The event promises to bring a new dimension to his signature blend of deep house, African rhythms and soulful vocals.

This announcement follows a landmark year for the global electronic artist, who has performed across more than 80 countries and headlined some of the world’s most prestigious festivals and venues, from Coachella to Madison Square Garden. In the UK, he recently played two sold-out nights at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich.

The upcoming orchestral performance is expected to revisit music from his Grammy-winning 2021 album Subconsciously, which included collaborations with artists such as Pharrell Williams, Usher and Diplo. It also draws on the legacy of his Africa Rising live project, which paired electronic production with orchestral elements to critical acclaim.

Born Nkosinathi Maphumulo in Umlazi, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Black Coffee has grown from local DJ to global electronic innovator, with a career that spans decades. He has also worked on philanthropic initiatives through the Black Coffee Foundation and collaborated with artists including Alicia Keys and Drake.

The show at the O2 is part of a wider expansion of his live offering and reflects his ongoing commitment to reimagining electronic music for the stage – with orchestral scale and emotional depth.
