Take That documentary brings boy band icons to Netflix

Netflix has unveiled the first look at Take That, a new three-part documentary series charting the rise, fall and legacy of one of Britain’s biggest pop groups. The series will launch globally on the platform on 27th January 2026.

Told in their own words, Take That offers an intimate portrait of the band’s 35-year journey – from their formation in Manchester to becoming chart-topping international stars, and through the heartbreaks and triumphs that followed. Featuring brand-new interviews with Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen, along with archival footage of Jason Orange and Robbie Williams, the series promises rare insights into the inner workings of the group, both on and off stage.

The series blends personal material, previously unseen footage, and extensive archive spanning their early days through to sold-out stadium tours and one of the most talked-about comebacks in UK music history. With 12 UK number one singles and over 45 million records sold worldwide, Take That’s story is one of pop music’s most enduring.

Directed by David Soutar (Bros: After the Screaming Stops, Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All) and produced by Fulwell Entertainment, all three episodes of Take That will be available to stream on Netflix from 27th January 2025.
