House and Garage Orchestra to headline Tewinbury Festival’s return to Hertfordshire farm
Tewinbury Festival returns to Tewinbury Farm in Welwyn, Hertfordshire, on Saturday 12th September, with the House and Garage Orchestra headlining a day of live music, food and overnight stays on the working farm site, which lies around 30 minutes from London.
Gates open at 4pm, with music running across several stages positioned throughout the farm and continuing into the night. Among them is a dedicated Hertford stage given over to acts from the surrounding area, alongside the festival’s headline programme.
The House and Garage Orchestra, who top the bill, are marking ten years of performing UK house and garage anthems as a full live orchestra. The group’s repertoire draws largely on floor-fillers from the late 1990s, reworked for strings, bass and a rhythm section. The format has proved durable enough to sustain a decade of touring, and the Tewinbury booking forms part of the group’s anniversary year.
Food and drink provision includes a line-up of food trucks using produce from the surrounding fields, while the site’s Baa Bar will serve throughout the event.
Accommodation is available for those who wish to stay overnight rather than travel home after the final set. Options across the farm include rooms, woodland huts and lakeside stays, set between the river, fields and trees. In the fields themselves, a boutique camping village has been set up a short walk from the music, with beds and fully dressed tents prepared in advance of guests’ arrival. A limited number of larger glamping tents are also available, furnished with beds and lighting and positioned close to showers, water points and a shared area. All camping options are within walking distance of the festival site.
A separate ticketed element, Woodland Dining, will take place away from the main stages among the trees. The format centres on a long table and fire-led cooking, with a menu built around seasonal produce. It is available as an add-on at the point of booking for £45 per person, and diners can return to the music afterwards.
Tewinbury Farm operates as a hotel and events venue on Hertford Road in Welwyn, with the festival forming one of the larger dates in its annual calendar.
