Wicked: For Good set for digital release with sing-along edition and bonus features

Musical blockbuster Wicked: For Good is coming to digital platforms in the UK on 2nd January 2026, offering fans a chance to revisit (or catch up on) the epic conclusion to the untold story of the witches of Oz – this time from their living rooms.

Following its global box office success, where it debuted at number one and took in more than $220 million, the film will be released by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment with a bumper set of extras. Alongside the standard version, the release includes a sing-along edition, a slate of deleted scenes, and over an hour of behind-the-scenes features.

Highlights include a 50-minute making-of documentary with contributions from stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, director Jon M. Chu, and composer Stephen Schwartz. There are also featurettes diving into new songs written for the film and reflections on the legacy of the Wicked story, adapted from the hit stage musical and Gregory Maguire’s bestselling novel.

Set after the events of the first film, Wicked: For Good finds Elphaba (Erivo) and Glinda (Grande) living separate lives on opposite sides of a divided Oz – until the sudden arrival of a girl from Kansas forces them to confront the past and each other.

The supporting cast includes Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and Ethan Slater. Deleted scenes featured in the release promise additional character moments, musical numbers, and more time in the world of Oz.
