Netflix has dropped the first trailer for Swapped, a new animated comedy that throws Michael B Jordan and Juno Temple into a chaotic, body-swapping adventure – and it looks like a lot of fun.

Directed by Tangled’s Nathan Greno, the film centres on two natural enemies: a small woodland creature (Jordan) and a majestic bird (Temple). When they suddenly switch bodies, they’re forced to see the world from each other’s perspective – and more importantly, figure out how to survive it. Cue plenty of chaos, culture clash and reluctant teamwork.

The trailer leans into that classic body-swap setup but gives it a fresh twist with its animal world setting, as the pair navigate predators, unfamiliar instincts and the general absurdity of living in someone else’s skin (or feathers). Expect a mix of fast-paced comedy and a more heartfelt message about empathy and understanding.

There’s also a strong supporting voice cast backing them up, including Tracy Morgan, Cedric the Entertainer, Justina Machado, Ambika Mod and Lolly Adefope, suggesting plenty of comedic energy throughout.

Behind the scenes, Swapped comes from Skydance Animation, with a producing team that includes John Lasseter, and a score by Siddhartha Khosla – pointing to a polished, big-studio feel.

It’s shaping up to be one of Netflix’s big family-friendly releases this spring, blending humour, adventure and a familiar premise with a new animated spin.
