BBC unveils first artwork for sun-soaked thriller Two Weeks in August
The BBC has released the first artwork for Two Weeks in August, a new drama arriving on BBC iPlayer next month ahead of its BBC One broadcast.
Created by Catherine Shepherd, the series centres on a woman who heads to Greece with family and friends in the hope of rediscovering some sense of joy. Instead, the trip quickly unravels, with an unexpected kiss reopening old tensions and sending the group into a downward spiral.
As secrets surface and relationships strain, the holiday takes a darker turn when the group realise they’re unable to leave the island. With pressure mounting, suspicion begins to take hold, and the question of who – or what – is behind the chaos becomes harder to ignore.
Set against a sun-soaked backdrop, the series blends interpersonal drama with a more unsettling edge, as emotional baggage collides with a growing sense of danger.
The cast includes Jessica Raine, Damien Molony, Antonia Thomas, Nicholas Pinnock, Leila Farzard and Hugh Skinner, with production from Various Artists Limited.
All episodes will be available on BBC iPlayer next month, with the series airing weekly on BBC One at 9pm.
